Green with Design

We were excited to partner with Simply Delicious Caterings for a Spring Tasting & Event Design Preview to evoke imagination and showcase innovation. Inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year, Greenery, we highlighted the coming of spring with fresh flowers, pops of green, and touches of natural wood at the beautiful Shelby Farms FedEx Event Center.

Over 600 guests attended the evening’s event consisting of delicious food, awe-inspiring design, and beautiful weather.

Our goal for the evening was to inspire our guests from the moment they stepped foot inside the venue. To do so, we filled the entrance space with our custom-made Boxwood Hedges and LED-lit cherry blossom trees, playing to our theme of springtime and blossoming ideas. The pop of the green hedges against the gray stone walls set high expectation for the rest of the night.

The moment the theme was determined we knew the perfect piece to feature would be our green velvet sofas we’ve come to love so much. A bold statement of green, to celebrate the Pantone Color of the Year, paired with the subtle neutrals of our- Louis chairs, created a sensational combination of velvet and linen textures.

Every event space has challenges, this time the challenge was a white wall spanning 40-feet long that needed to be transformed into a focal point instead of an eye soar. What should be mentioned is our love for a challenge! To fill the white space, we created a one-of-a-kind wall covered entirely of greenery and adorned with gold mirrors of various shapes and sizes. It turned out extraordinary!

Sasha natural banquettes aligned along the wall were topped with green Sunbelt pillows for a soft, citrus-colored accent. As a compliment to the decorative mirrors spread across the greenery wall, we incorporated more mirrored accent pieces including Celine mirrored cubes, Athens accent table, and mirrored columns. Across from the banquettes, making their event debut, sat our Firenze gray benches.

To fill space in such a large room and draw guests towards the center, we positioned our curved Monroe bars into a circle. A larger bar meant space for more bartenders to provide prompt service and create happy guests.  Another fun design element that fit into the theme was our Gulliver cart. This versatile piece served both as a functional S’mores station and a fun attention-grabber prop.

The outside patio included a variety of seating areas for guests nibbling on sliders, pork plates, toasted raviolis, and much more. As an added element of surprise, we created an arrangement featuring our gray velvet sofa with hot pink Ava chairs, an unexpected pop of color! Also making an event debut are our Cairo side tables.

Short bistro tables with treasure Bishop linens lined the glass windows of the patio area reflecting a breathtaking view of the sunset flirting with the edge of the mirroring lake.

Beside the lake, we created a bonfire gathering for guests to enjoy s’mores and mingle under the hanging market lights. We added palm tree statues, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit as a nod to warmer weather to come and placed mercury lanterns around planter boxes for a reflective touch.

A breathtaking sunset overlooking the lake was the ultimate backdrop that only Mother Earth could provide.
