A Glittering Affair

As the sun slipped between the horizons, a wedding reception at the University Club was getting started.

We had the pleasure to participate with planner Mona at Mona E. Dunlap Events and florists Garden District in creating a stunning, dream-like reception filled with a dazzling array of dining, furnishings and lighting pieces enriched with modern touches of green plant-life.

Inside the tented reception the dramatic display of four Elizabeth crystal chandeliers is the immediate attention grabber. The chandeliers gave this space a translucent shine that allows the eyes to experience even more colors and opulence. Details of the luminance beautifully complemented the cream, gold, and transparent color palette.

To give the space a consistent flow and energy, a continuous row of mirrored Meryl bars with a backdrop of Valencia mirrors created an extra layer of depth. Neutral colored soft seating pieces such as our Evelyn Day Bed and Sasha banquettes were paired with both gold and transparent seating. A mixture of shining champagne Sequin and abstract-patterned gold Sunbelt linens covered tables for an embellished yet refined look.

Outside of the tent, the food area continued the theme of luxurious transparency from the reception tent with a cluster of our clear acrylic tables juxtaposed to showcase delicious treats waiting to be enjoyed. Guests could see every angle of the food so nothing was left unseen. Our delicate champagne Jasmine Lace linen added a whimsical look to the cake table, with the wedding cake provided by Flour Garden.

The collaborative effort led to a night of magic, inspiration, and luxurious celebration. The gold, cream, and transparent color palette harmonized with the dramatic lights and vivacious floral arrangements.
