Home Is Where the Wedding Is | At-Home Wedding Inspo
With more and more couples opting for micro-weddings during this pandemic, many are having to reduce guest count. But that does not mean sacrificing style! We decided to design a variety of mini residential ceremony and reception sets to showcase the number of ways you can utilize your home’s space.
Backyards are an excellent place to conduct your nuptials al fresco. Think of Mother Nature as your florist and choose areas with abundant greenery as the backdrop for your ceremony. A wedding arch or arbor will frame your walk down the aisle and help guests where the center of attention will be. Simple draping adds a whimsical airiness the lighten the scene. For the reception portion, mix in larger lounge areas with smaller bistro table settings. Patios are also a great area to make use of for either an ultra-intimate ceremony or bistro seating.
Hosting your wedding vows indoors is also another option for smaller at-home weddings. Not only is it perfect as a backup rain plan, but it also adds a sentimental effect opening up your humble abode to guests. With a little rearranging of personal furniture, you can incorporate over-the-top florals, scatter around decorative tabletop accessories, or add pops of color pillows and luxury linens that go with your color palette. For home with a smaller indoor space, a quick trick is doing the chair flip: using the same chairs at the ceremony and transferring them to your reception areas.
Our best advice for brides attempting to met married during this tough season, we encourage you to remember that it’s not about the location or date, but the person standing at the end of the aisle waiting to see you!
