#EmptyEvent

We recently participated in Nashville’s "Empty Event” to demonstrate the devastating impact COVID-19 has had on the live event industry. Together with fellow industry professionals, a grand entrance was created on the Pedestrian Bridge that lead to an event space with all the seating, dining, food & beverage, florals and decor yet remained empty. This was to reflect what the city would look like without the contributions that make it a destination for live events.

Before the pandemic, live events contributed to $1 Trillion to the U.S. economy, but now 90% of events are cancelled with almost 12 million are without work.

As on of the first industries to be shut down due to the pandemic and likely one of the last to return, we are advocating for federal support and aid packages to stabilize the overall 80% of revenue expected to be lost. Save Live Events.
